English/Japanese Translation Skills Needed

We need help communicating with English-speaking and Japanese-speaking clients and partners. Most of the work with clients and partners is via email. Some conversations on the phone with clients/partners is also needed.

This is a support job for a real estate related online business, doing work with media and marketing. If you can speak English/Japanese, we can provide training and instruction for everything else.

Some In-person Meetings in Sapporo/Flexible Hours

The position includes in-person meetings in Sapporo and some remote work (that can be work from home). The position will require 10-20 hours per week, working 3 – 4 days a week (specific days may be flexible).

If the employee can complete projects and is successful with their duties, an opportunity for ongoing work is available, with the possibility of full-time work.

We have many happy clients and partners. The website is growing and the business is successful.

DUTIES

The Marketing Assistant will help produce content for the website, and will help coordinate marketing projects across a range of marketing tactics including public relations (PR), advertising, search engine optimization, web publishing, and more.

— Doing online research
— Communicating with local business partners to collect information
— Contacting Japanese/international companies about marketing projects
— Coordinating content projects

The company can provide instructions about how to perform these skills. No previous experience is required.

DESIRED SKILLS

— Speaking/writing in both English and Japanese
— Maintaining a list of projects
— Following up on assigned tasks
— Research skills
— Strong communication skills (especially email)

TIMING

— We’d like to begin work ASAP

COMPUTER is REQUIRED

— Employee must have a portable, laptop computer in good working condition

COMPENSATION

— Employee will be paid an hourly wage of between ¥1100 – ¥1400 per hour
— Based on 10 – 20 hours of work per week, the position should pay approximately ¥50,000 – ¥100,000 per month

LOCATION

— This position requires 1 – 2 meetings in downtown Sapporo each week (timing of those meetings may be flexible)
— Additional remote work is required

Employee should be available for 4 – 6 hours of work each week, in-person in Sapporo, working with other team members. An additional 5 – 15 hours of work is to be performed remotely each week.
